I provide compassionate, evidence-based care in a safe and non-judgmental
environment. My approach is warm, supportive, and individualized, integrating
evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT),
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness-based strategies, and
other therapeutic techniques as appropriate. I balance practical skill-building with
deeper self-exploration to support meaningful and lasting change.
As a result, clients can expect to develop effective coping skills, gain insight into
patterns impacting their mental health, and build emotional resilience. My goal is
to support clients in creating meaningful changes in their daily lives while
fostering long-term personal growth and healing.

I take a collaborative, culturally responsive approach to therapy that honors the complexity of
your lived experience. I don’t believe there is one “right” way to feel, heal, or move
forward—especially when identity, family dynamics, and cultural expectations play such a
central role in your life.
My work integrates evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT),
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotion-Focused Therapy, family systems
therapy, and person-centered approaches. Together, we will make sense of patterns shaped by
your past experiences and relationships while building practical coping skills that support
meaningful, sustainable change. Therapy is a space where you don’t have to choose between
parts of yourself—you can bring all of you into the room.

I take a holistic, individualized, and culturally responsive approach to therapy. I don’t expect
clients to arrive fully clear, emotionally articulate, or “ready.” Instead, I meet you where you are
and work collaboratively at a pace that feels steady, respectful, and realistic.
My work draws from evidence-based approaches while staying grounded in your lived
experience—your cultural background, values, responsibilities, and the real pressures shaping
your life. Therapy with me is not about fixing you or pushing quick solutions, but about creating
room to understand what you’ve been carrying and what you may need moving forward.
When helpful, sessions may take place in English, Cantonese, or Mandarin. I am attentive to how
language, culture, and immigration experiences can shape how emotions are expressed,
understood, or held—especially for clients who are used to adapting, translating, or holding
things together for others.

As a bilingual therapist (English and Mandarin), I am passionate about providing culturally responsive and compassionate care to individuals navigating life’s challenges. My personal journey as an Asian American immigrant has shaped my commitment to breaking cultural and linguistic barriers in mental health care.
With dual master’s degrees in Social Work (MSW) and Gerontology (MSG) from the University of Southern California, I am currently pursuing a Doctorate in Social Work (DSW) at the University of Pennsylvania. I integrate evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), attachment-based techniques, and relational-focused methods, to support clients in developing self-awareness and resilience.
My clinical expertise includes working with older adults, individuals with chronic illnesses, and immigrants, particularly within the Asian American community.
At Mind Matters Center, I strive to create a safe and inclusive space where clients feel seen, heard, and empowered.
Outside of therapy, I enjoy traveling, hiking, practicing yoga, and exploring new cuisines. I’m also an animal lover, with a special fondness for dogs.
